ROMA PowerGrade for Davinci Resolve

$10+

The ROMA PowerGrade is a simple node structure for DaVinci Resolve that provides a solid starting point for creating cinematic-looking color grades for your footage.

Inside the package, you’ll find a universal PowerGrade designed to work in the DaVinci Wide Gamut color space. The node structure is simple and based on the built-in Film Look Creator plugin. I’ve also included the JP2499 DRT, which delivers much better results than the native Color Space Transform tool. Use this DRT at the end of the node tree.

Compatibility:

  • Any camera profile that can be converted to DWG.
  • Make sure to install the JP2499 DRT for this workflow to work.
  • Pocket 3 D-Log M: Use with Pocket 3 D-Log M footage and Kaur Hendrikson’s Pocket 3 D-Log M to DWG DCTL. https://github.com/thatcherfreeman/dwg-transforms

How to import the PowerGrades:

  1. Download and unzip the ZIP file.
  2. Open a random DaVinci Resolve project.
  3. Go to the Color Page.
  4. Open the Gallery viewer.
  5. Right-click on the left box and select “Add New PowerGrade Album.”
  6. Rename the PowerGrade Album to whatever you like.
  7. Right-click on the right box where it says “No stills created.”
  8. Select “Import” and import the PowerGrade you want from the unzipped folder you created in step 1.

Important notes:

  • Use the default settings with the JP2499 DRT.
